Transitioning from 9 to 5 work to hopping off the hamster wheel of trading her time for money, Jennifer refused to allow someone else tell her how much she was worth. She refused to let someone else have a say in what her salary cap was.
How Jennifer knew she could take on network marketing [08:25]
A big part of Jennifer’s leap into entrepreneurship was the realization that she was the one in control. There was no one waiting to tell her what and when to do the things to take care of herself and her family. The moment Jenifer felt like she was cheating on her 9 to 5 with her network marketing side hustle is when she knew she had to bet on herself.

Direct sales is not as complicated as people like to make it seem! At its core, direct sales is the act of affiliating products. This kind of business allows people to dip their toe in entrepreneurship, create a little financial breathing room, and generate a few extra hundred dollars per month. Most of all, creating your second stream of income gives you money to invest in your dream, whatever that looks like for you.

Entrepreneurship is not just generating money on your own. Most specifically, it is the repetitive act of seeking the time to be thoughtful with yourself and curating your life on purpose.

Jennifer advises us to continue to build community with people that are aligned with the vision that we have for ourselves. Build that community by not being afraid to talk to other people and create new connections. One tangible step: schedule a meeting with a potential partner. Whether that’s a mentor, accountability partner, future business partner, etc. – schedule a mutually beneficial meeting that allows you to extend a wider net in your network. Finally, Jennifer urges us to follow the little nudges that tug at us in the back of our minds – its trying to tell us that there is more out there for us.
