When we don’t know “the how” of our own dreams and to do items, we become paralyzed. It’s a foreign space for us to be in. It is our job to know what’s best for our clients, sometimes even know their world of work better than themselves! But, when it comes to the most intimate relationship in our lives, the one with ourselves, it is hard to get in motion.   What happens when you get stuck in the how? [5:10]   When we get stuck, we lose ambition. We move on to something easier to wrap our heads around because being uncomfortable and confronting that feeling is the last thing any of us want to do! Your loss of ambition only gives us permission to procrastinate on our dreams and the life we know we deserve!   Who? [6:30]   Who do you know that is doing what you want to do? Who do you know that can connect you with the people that are doing what you want to do? Asking for help and seeking counsel from other attorney’s doesn’t make you weak! It shows your commitment to the task and yourself. Stop thinking about the finish line and start thinking about who can support you on your journey.   My Story [10:20]   When I launched into building my coaching services and the Powerhouse Lawyer brand, I had no idea where to start. I had been out of the legal profession for years, at this point. But my commitment to myself and the women that I knew need what I have to offer was much louder than my own doubts. My coach told me to find my people then, and I’m telling you to do the exact same thing! Who do you need to be in relationship with?   Where do you start? [13:27] So, I’ve empowered you, gotten you excited for what you can do, now what? Grab your journal, sis! Consider these two questions: How committed are you to your goals? Who do you need to know? Make your list and be honest with yourself. If you’re not as committed to the goal, that may not be where you want to be, it’s time to dig deeper. If you can’t think of who you know that can help you, where do you find the people that can help you?   Closing [17:05]   Burnout and overwhelm may be a part of your everyday life, but it doesn't have to be! Intro [01:44]

You’re Stuck in the How  [02:19]

As lawyers, we are expected to have all the answers and be the expert in the room.

When we get stuck, we lose ambition. We move on to something easier to wrap our heads around because being uncomfortable and confronting that feeling is the last thing any of us want to do! Your loss of ambition only gives us permission to procrastinate on our dreams and the life we know we deserve!

Who? [6:30]

Who do you know that is doing what you want to do? Who do you know that can connect you with the people that are doing what you want to do? Asking for help and seeking counsel from other attorney’s doesn’t make you weak! It shows your commitment to the task and yourself. Stop thinking about the finish line and start thinking about who can support you on your journey.

My Story [10:20]

When I launched into building my coaching services and the Powerhouse Lawyer brand, I had no idea where to start. I had been out of the legal profession for years, at this point. But my commitment to myself and the women that I knew need what I have to offer was much louder than my own doubts. My coach told me to find my people then, and I’m telling you to do the exact same thing! Who do you need to be in relationship with?

Where do you start? [13:27]

So, I’ve empowered you, gotten you excited for what you can do, now what? Grab your journal, sis! Consider these two questions: How committed are you to your goals? Who do you need to know? Make your list and be honest with yourself. If you’re not as committed to the goal, that may not be where you want to be, it’s time to dig deeper. If you can’t think of who you know that can help you, where do you find the people that can help you?

Closing [17:05]

Burnout and overwhelm may be a part of your everyday life, but it doesn't have to be! Here are five action steps that helped me crawl my way out of the weeds of life and into building the life I wanted and knew I deserved. Eliminate overwhelm in life AND law, now!
